Welcome to April. 11th, 2026 (Week 30)
As we wrap up our final week, I just want to say thank you. This league has meant a lot to me. I moved here from Cincinnati in December of 2024, started at Idle Hours South in January of 2025, and this was my first big project, so in many ways, we learned together. If I made mistakes along the way, I appreciate your patience. Even the best bowlers miss a spare now and then. At Idle Hours South, we’re not just here to keep score, we’re here to make memories and help each of you grow as bowlers. I truly believe we did that this season. Congratulations to all of our winners, and to everyone who showed up, improved, and stuck with it. That’s what really counts. Thank you to Sunny Weiland, Scott Weiland, Bev Williams, and all of the parents for your support throughout the season. We have a summer league coming up, and I hope to see you there. If not, I look forward to seeing you next year. Thanks again for a great season. - Jim At the Front Desk Here is the final weeks newsletter here.

Here are the standing sheets for this week: Bumpers, Bantam/Prep's, and Junior/Major's. This week's newsletter is here. Midway Point Clarification After a discussion this week, I need to clarify that last week would have been our midway point (as told to me by our League Secretary). However, since it was our Christmas Party and I decided to run NO-TAP games (requested by bowlers), it did not count. So Saturday, January 3, was technically our midway point.
Calling All Parents
We are looking for parents who would like to help out and serve as coaches for the kids this season. If you are interested, please talk to Jim at the front desk (the person, not the team) or Sunny.
Traditions and Ideas:
Since this is my first year running the Youth League, I may not know all of the traditions that have been done in the past. If there is something the league usually does, or if you have an idea for something fun for the kids, please let me know. I would love to keep great traditions going and add new ones.
The Website:
As you can tell, the website is redesigned. I think this will work better because I can easily post news now. I have seen that other bowling alleys have Facebook accounts for their Youth Leagues. Maybe I'll do that. I added a page for Tournaments. I'll post more as I learn about them.
