2025–26 Youth Leagues — Season So Far (Through Week 14)
Three leagues, fourteen Saturdays, and a whole lot of pins. From the youngest bumper bowlers learning the game, to the Juniors and Majors throwing grown-up scores, the season at Idle Hours South has already built its own set of storylines, rivalries, and breakout stars.

Saturday Bumpers League
The Bumpers league is where it all starts: four teams, bumpers up, and kids figuring out approaches, spares, and what it feels like to beat their own best scores. By Week 14, the standings show Team Zombie on top at 10–2, followed by Double Trouble at 7–5, Kingpins at 5–7, and The Best Bowlers at 2–10.
Team Zombie built their lead on consistency. Benjamin Bowen and Max Grey don't always post the biggest numbers, but they live above their averages often enough to keep stacking wins. Kingpins ride the firepower of Lucas Williams and Cameron Marhelski, who own the top boys' marks in the league with a 120 high game (Lucas), a 116 high game and 221 high series (Cameron).
The Best Bowlers have the league's top girl in Melody Kreinberg, who owns the girls' high game (81) and high series (143), while Roman Walsh matches the boys' leaders with a 116 high game and 215 high series. Double Trouble sits in the middle of it all, powered by Kinsley Saranchuk and Robert Phillips Jr, who regularly jump over their averages and keep that second-place spot interesting.
Bantam / Prep League
The Bantam / Prep league is the next step up: four teams, full games, and averages that climb a little bit every week. Through Week 14, The Three Swordsman lead at 12–6, with Demon Slayer right behind at 9–9, The Penguins at 8–10, and Glitter Bombs at 7–11.
The Three Swordsman have the most complete boys' lineup in the building: Austin DePalma (118.67 avg, 152 high game, 392 high series), Gavin Genovese (around 99 avg, 144 high game, 349 series), and Mason Bell, whose massive over-average sets have become a running storyline all by themselves.
On the girls' side, Demon Slayer has the top-end punch: Faith Toole leads the league at about a 94 average with a 132 high game and 346 high series, and Rosalie Kreinberg and Audri Bauer aren't far behind with a 300 and 254 high series, respectively. The Penguins and Glitter Bombs both have enough firepower to flip a match in one good week, which keeps the bottom of the standings a lot more dangerous than it looks at first glance.
Junior / Major League
The Junior / Major league is where the scores start to look like an adult scratch league. By Week 14, the top of the standings is tight: One Pin Wonder leads at 14–4, We Don't Know Yet sits at 13–5, and The DEA at 12–6. Right behind them are Splits + Giggles (10–8), Jim At The Front Desk (9–9), and Sunset Riders (7–11) with the highest team average at 448.
One Pin Wonder rode huge handicap and huge improvement to the top. Alexander Tserovski, Ian Fong, and Liam Mulea have all posted monster "over average" sets, including a 214 high game for Liam, that swung entire matches. We Don't Know Yet leans on Ella Millon, who dropped a 169 game and 453 series in Week 14 alone, plus steady help from Rico Scaringi and Thomas Toole.
The DEA and Sunset Riders are the heavyweight scratch teams: Scott Weiland leads all boys with a 241 high game and 613 high series, while Emma Walsh tops the girls with a 189 high game and 497 series. Sunset Riders carry the highest team average in the building; Splits + Giggles aren't far behind with Luke Miller (222 / 527) and Brody Dunleavy (211 / 519) both sitting near the top of the boys' charts.

Big Picture
Taken together, the three leagues show the whole ladder of youth bowling at Idle Hours South: from bumpers and first 80 games, to 150s in Bantam / Prep, to 200+ games and 500+ series in Junior / Major. The standings say one thing, but the real story is on the "over average" line every week — kids breaking their own records, sometimes by 50, 70, even 100 pins over a three-game set.
The second half of the season will decide champions, but the important part is already in the books: a lot of progress, a lot of confidence, and a lot of Saturdays these kids are never going to forget.
